Scheisshaus Luck by Pierre Berg

I have recently started up a group on Facebook dedicated to the book. The group is very much a forum for all who wish to comment on or ask questions about the book. Everyone is welcome. Niki

This all started out as a Maine, USA project, but as is the nature of things on the internet is expanding. I am hoping to see more activity here by teachers and students as the year goes on. My 8th grade students would be here interacting. If you have a class and would like to have them join, have them sign up. I only suggest here, but students use first names only with avatars for pictures (that is my school policy also), but what you have them do is ultimately your school's policy.

I teach 18 students from grades 7 & 8 in New Sweden, Maine in a small rural school. I teach all subjects, but history is my passion. Having students for both their 7th & 8th grade years presents some curriculum challenges. We teach a 2 year looping curriculum. Since last year was my year for World History which included a 9 week unit on the Holocaust I do not formally teach it this year. I will however have a two week unit on Tolerance.

Welcome to the Maine Holocaust Education Network. I am so glad that you have joined us. Pierre added so much to my class's experience last year as we were discussing the Holocaust.

I look forward to what you bring to our conversation here.

Announcement: Change in appearance - no ads

You will notice a change on our website. All ads have been removed. This was made possible through actions that Ning, Google, and the educaitonal community undertook on behalf of all educational nings which involve students. From my perspective this is a much appreciated action that they have taken.

Thank you,
Ernie Easter
